Privacy Policy

This website sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics or advertising software. We do not ask you to create an account, and there is no checkout on this site.

When you place an online order or a delivery order, that happens on a third party service, not here. Their privacy policy governs that transaction, not ours.

We only get information you deliberately send us. That is normally one of three things:

• Phone calls. Your number and whatever you tell us about your order. We use it to cook and hand over your food.
• Email. Anything you write to kababcafe17@gmail.com. We keep it so we can answer you and run the order.
• The catering form. This is worth being precise about. Our catering request form sends what you type to our email provider, Resend, which delivers it to kababcafe17@gmail.com as an ordinary email. We use your address only to reply about your catering. It is not added to a mailing list and it is not shared with anyone else.

Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs so the site can run and stay secure. Those logs can include your IP address, the page requested, the time, and your browser type. They are not linked to a name and are not used for marketing.

Typefaces are served from this website itself, so loading a page does not tell a font provider anything about you.

A few things on this site pass you to companies with their own policies. We do not control what they collect.

• Online ordering. Our ordering page is hosted by our point of sale provider, SpotOn. When you start an order you leave this website and their privacy policy and payment handling apply. We never see or store your full card details.
• Delivery apps. If you order through Uber Eats, DoorDash, or Grubhub, that is their platform and their policy.
• The catering form. Submissions are delivered by Resend, an email provider, which processes the message on our behalf so it reaches our inbox.
• The map. Our location pages embed a Google map. Google may set cookies and receive your IP address when that map loads.

Emails and catering correspondence are kept as long as we need them to run the order and for ordinary business records. Server logs roll over on our host's normal schedule. Order and payment records are held by our point of sale provider under their own retention rules.

You can ask us what we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to kababcafe17@gmail.com and tell us what you want. If you have emailed us and would rather we did not keep the thread, say so and we will delete it.

For anything tied to an online order, ask the ordering provider as well, since they hold that record.

This website is for people ordering food and is not aimed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

If we add anything that changes this, for example website analytics or an email list, we will update this page and change the date at the top before turning it on.
